Nebelthornian terrorists attack party killing thirty two

Late Saturday night a group of terrorists attacked the holiday home of local business identity Liam Casterton who was celebrating his fiftieth birthday party wit a group of family and friends.

“The terrorists attacked with grenades and automatic fire spraying the guests indiscriminately and without mercy” stated Captain Verity Bourges.

“Not only did they kill Col Grante Noblesse but also celebrity chef Aubrey Frome, actor Sanjay Trelis, Saltmoore police commander Dragan Xavier plus several members of the Casterton family and their associates, staff and security- currently the body count is running at thirty-two” Captain Bourges would not elaborate as to the identities of the casualties stating that due to security concerns and the ongoing investigations, names we being withheld.

President Dalen Peirce held a media conference this morning laying responsibility firmly at the feet of the Nebelthorne Government.

“We have found a body identified as a member of the Nebelthornian Secret Service at the scene and the ammunition and weapons used were all Nebelthorinian issue. It is also thought that the attackers were wearing high tech chameleon amor, we have some security camera footage of a figure wearing Zhodahni style combat armor.” President Peirce then stated that the local Imperial mission was now helping with investigations due to the death of one of its senior and most respected officer.

A statement from the Imperial Ambassador called on the Nebelthornian Government to cease all support of terrorists and sever all contact with the Zhodahni Empire or face the consequences of Imperial interdiction. The Marine garrison has shifted to a war footing as has the IISS base with all Imperial locations now in lock down.

Military sources have informed the media that three merchandised divisions have been stood to and the First Fleet Saltmoore task force has been diverted to the Narrows and is heading for the Garnell Straight.

The Nebelthornian ambassador has stated that “We have nothing to do with your internal skirmishes and any provocative movement into the Garnell will be seen as an act of war by the Union and its Imperial masters and be met with overwhelming force by the Peoples Army”
